Not guided activities
Besides our guided and instructed activities, there are many things you can do yourself. We rent out kayaks, rowboats, bicycles and fishing equipment. Of course, we will help you to get started. We know the equipment, we know the area, even where the big fish are hiding. We can provide you with maps, and many valuable tips.
Take out one of our kayaks at your own leisure and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Just a paddle round in the Ulvik fjord or make a day long trip to anywhere you want. We can supply you with a map of interesting locations to visit. Our “sit-on-top” kayaks are very stable and unsinkable, and safe to use without any experience.
Feel free to use one of our bikes to explore the region. The bikes are well-equipped for whole day trips. The region opens up when you are on a bike, enjoy nature at you own pace, breath the clean air and make some distance while you are at it. We can supply you with a map of points of interest.
The Ulvik quiz quest takes you on a comfortable walk through town and tells you about the history, the culture and fun facts about Ulvik. Along the route there are questions that need to be answered.
There are excellent fishing locations out on the fjords. Its likely to catch herring, mackerel, cod, salmon and you might even get a small shark on your hook. Our kayaks are equipped for fishing trips as well and have a stable design for hoisting in fish. We can supply you with that needed fishing gear and indicate excellent fishing spots on the fjord. There is no better way to leave all your thoughts behind and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings and if you are lucky you might just catch a fish.
Get in touch with your inner Viking and grab the oars! Our boats are available for you to explore the fjords the classic way. If experienced, you can also hoist the sails! An excellent choice for family fishing trips or a romantic option for couples who want to explore ‘Lovers Island’. Ulvik looks stunning, seen from the waterside all year round and it will leave a lasting memory in your mind.
Feel free to come and rent our fishing equipment and try your luck on the fjord. We rent out fishing equipment for surface water (trout, salmon, mackerel and needlefish) and deep water fishing (cod, ling, flounder and dogfish shark).
